At Content Kings, we are dedicated to creating high-quality content. The last 4 years have been incredible for us, jumping from strength to strength, and as a result we have created a portfolio that we are really proud of.
Content Kings announced its first TV commission in 2021, just a month after we officially launched. Accused of Murdering Our Son - The Steven Clark Story was a primetime commission for ITV exploring the story of Charles and Doris Clark, who were arrested on suspicion of murder 28 years after their son went missing.
Since the success of our first commission, True Crime as a genre became a staple of Content Kings as we went on to create Who Killed Lin and Megan Russell?- which was nominated for a 2024 True Crime Award for Episodic Excellence, and The Ripper Speaks, which had groundbreaking access to famous serial killer Peter Sutcliffe with never before heard recordings- some of which were confessions to some of his most heinous crimes.
Upon the 25th Anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, we released an investigative documentary hosted by Mark Williams-Thomas Diana: The Ultimate Truth looking into her tragic death and the various theories that surround it…
Using our background in true crime as a basis, we expanded our portfolio into digital content and have produced two successful online digital series for Crime and Investigation: Model Murders and, most recently, Trials By Social Media which met with a very positive reception and involved working alongside successful True Crime YouTubers Meggie Foster and Mollie Westbrook, with plans to create lots more digital content…
Continuing our portfolio of factual content, we have created two hit maritime-history series for Channel 5 and Sky History, Sunken Warships: Secrets from the Deep and Secrets of the Lost Liners, which intertwined fascinating archive with interviews with maritime experts and survivors of these tragedies at sea. Both of these have gone on to produce two series each, with a third series of Sunken Warships: Secrets from the Deep to come soon!
One of our most recent content is a three-part series of consumer documentaries for Channel 5. We launched Airfryers VS Microwaves at the end of 2023 to a huge reception, garnering over a million viewers upon premiere with a 25% above average viewership, receiving lot’s of incredible press and rave reviews. Upon the success of our first four consumer docs including Loyalty Cards: Are They Worth It?, Loyalty Cards: 10 Things You Need to Know now!, Smart Meters: Should I Get One?, and Supermarket Own Brands: The Big Taste Test, we have an exciting new consumers series launching over the new year- watch this space!
Jim Davidson: The Rise and Fall of Mr Saturday Night is our most recent release, which not only had the highest ratings across Channel 5 on the day of its release, but also had the highest ratings across all channels in its slot. The documentary followed the controversies and cancellation of one of the most successful comedians of the 1970s. We are excited to be working on a new and fascinating series, delving into the cancellation of three more popular and controversial comedians and comedy series- coming in 2025!
In our team we have years of experience in award-winning scripted and unscripted television across a range of genres and channels. From documentaries, history series to true crime hits and digital series, Content Kings is constantly expanding and growing as content creators. We have lots of future TV projects in the works, including more documentaries, consumer shows and gameshows to name a few! We hope you will join us on our journey as we continue to create incredible content.
